This is going to be a quick summary: I didn’t do very much writing in April.

As an unpublished author, my writing is sometimes forced to take a back seat to my other creative endeavors. During the height of the pandemic I didn’t travel very much, but now that things are easing up I am traveling again for my landscape photography, and April was a month in which I was traveling quite a bit, and then sorting, processing, and uploading new work after returning.

The result is that I only actually did any writing in the first week of the month. Between April 1-5, I logged the following accomplishments:

  • 4 writing days
  • 7-1/4 productive hours resulting in 6,662 words written
  • 2 completed chapters

Pretty modest, but that’s how it is sometimes. Now that I’m done uploading and posting my work from the Grand Canyon and environs, I expect to be back on the rewrite project this month, and I’m still optimistically aiming to be finished with the rewrite by the end of June.

Finally, here’s a look at one of the images I created instead of writing:

I hope you like it!
